IMAGINE

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

John Lennon.
1940-1980

Where were you 25 years ago on this day?

I was only five years old but I vividly remember hearing about it on the news. I didn't really understand what had happened but was upset because I knew the man on the record I liked had died.

I was on a school bus outside Dairy Bell Ice Cream Parlour. Seems like only "yesterday"!

I do remember the day Elvis died. I was a toddler standing in front of the television. It was the 6 o'clock news. They showed a clip from one of his concerts and it was the most beautiful sound my ears had ever encountered.
