As much as I may say that everything is peachy and great, which it really is, sometimes everything seems hopeless and I feel defeated. 3 babies will do that to you. They get on your nerves, they fight, they scream for no reason and its the same every hour of the day. The only respite comes when they go down for a nap. However, even that's not easy.
They go willingly to their beds but that's about it. From then on, they begin by tossing everything from their beds, blankets, juice cups, babies (stuffed animals) and then they proceed to jump and jump on their beds. Some other times they empty out all the drawers and toss everything onto the floor.
Of course I can hear them, even from downstairs.
So up the steps I go and threaten them a few times. I also stand in the room hoping that they will just go to sleep quietly. No sooner do I walk away and the tapping from little feet begins.
There is no moment that I am alone, I may be in the room with them while I'm ignoring their tantrums or whining but again, it does not qualify as being alone.
I need time to myself and I know my wife feels the same. We are so in the same boat and together in it.
We need time to ourselves and even when we manage to get the time, the babies find a way of "ruining" it.
You would think they plan it all, including getting sick so we don't leave them with other people while we get away.
Perhaps they think we're going to abandon them.
They're on to us.
Ramblings, Observations, Father of 5. Two teenagers and a set of Triplets in toddler stage. Please don't tell me I have my hands full.

Potty Training
Potty training triplets is not easy. They will seat and play, particularly if there is someone next to them. Cecilia has so far managed to do it a couple of times but that's only after I see or hear her pushing. It works on mornings when it's obvious that after a good nights sleep, if they haven't pooped overnight, the chances that they will during the morning time are good.
I'm realizing that if we practice with one at a time, might be easier, that way they don't get distracted.
I can't wait till all 3 are doing it. It will be such a milestone and such a reduction in expenses.

I am a father of natural triplets
Today October 13, I became a father again for the second time. Only this time to 3 little girls.
Catherine Elia, Cecilia Marie and Charlie Lucille. They were born right before 11:00pm right at the 29 week mark. We were trying to hold out a little longer but I guess they were eager to make their grand entrance. Melissa's water broke on Saturday afternoon and she checked into the hospital. At the time, the doctors told her that she may have to be on bed-rest anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. This in order to give the babies more time to develop. However it wasn't meant to be. Babies heart
Rate began to spike and Melissa was developing an infection so the doctor had to make a decision and deliver the babies.
Cecilia Marie - 2.8oz 14 inches at birth
Catherine Elia - 2.11oz 14.4 inches at birth
Charlie Lucile - 2.5oz. 15 inches at birth

I will update with more details as they progress.
